We are a registered non-for-profit and our goal has always been simple - to ensure our local older citizens are looked after in the later years of their lives, in the area in which they grew up and to continue a life well lived.About the roleWe are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team on a casual basis with the possibility of future permanency. What you will be doingAct as a primary advocate for the resident and their representatives and ensure the dignity, privacy and freedoms of residents are upheldUndertake assessments, care planning and nursing interventions in partnership with residents and their representatives, and in line with resident needs and preferences, professional guidelines and organisational process.Liaise with medical, allied health, pharmacies, service providers and equipment providers to ensure holistic, comprehensive delivery of care.Document and report care interventions, observations, changes in needs and resident feedback in an accurate, objective and efficient manner.Work as a team to deliver consistent, resident-focused services.Coordinate staff on a shift-by-shift basis. Who we're looking forDemonstrated aptitude to help improve the lives of older people. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated capacity to take a leadership role. Reliable and positive work ethic. Attention to personal appearance. Registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA). National Police Clearance (current to within three-years). Australian working rights. Basic computer skills. Desirable:Experience working in aged care, community services or disability services. Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience working in a client focused culture that values continuous improvement. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt work priorities and meet deadlines depending on the needs of the resident. Bachelor of Science or Nursing (or equivalent). Demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards and funding rules. Benefits and perksSalary packaging, up to $15,700 tax freeDiscounted private health care ratesFree uniform  AUD Perth 6000
